Kākou Collective is the studio of Kea Peters, a Native Hawaiian surface pattern designer that specializes in hand lettering and illustration. Deeply inspired by our homeland, she aims to connect the global community to our ʻāina (land) with visual story telling through original artwork and goods for your home, desk, and beyond. Her mission is to share the love and knowledge she has for our local culture, to spark creativity, and to learn, grow, and connect with other strong women and businesses.

Kea reached out to us because she wanted to find a local printer who could print her stationery for her online retail shop. She takes pride in being a local designer and wanted to work with a local printer who she could trust to do quality work. Our commercial and digital print expert Stacy, worked with client to figure out the best way to print each product (i.e. digital vs offset printing) and at the most cost-efficient quantities (i.e. how many lots on a press sheet) so she could get the best pricing. Client was happy with the final printed product and is in talks to expand her product line with notebooks and packaging as well!
